To process your registration your family ID number is required. If you cannot locate your ID number, please click here to send an email request for it to the parish office.

Journey of Faith Policy

Journey of Faith (JOF) is total parish faith formation. At least one parent is required to attend the parent session when children are attending; both parents are welcome! If circumstances prevent at least one parent from attending, please contact Barb (bolson@maryofthevisitation.org) about your situation and identify another adult as your representative.

Welcome to Journey of Faith, the Faith Formation program at Mary of the Visitation.

We are excited to invite all members of all ages in our faith community to participate in our monthly sessions!
Journey of Faith is for ages Kindergarten through adult. Sessions meet once per month, on Wednesday, for an hour and a half, and all family members will attend at the same time on the same day, at the same location. Adults (including grade 11 & 12 youth) gather to learn and reflect on the month's topic while Kindergarten through grade 10 meet in grade level classes. At least one parent of youth in Kindergarten - Grade 10 must attend a parent session when their children attend.
You may choose to attend on-site in either Becker or Big Lake.
First Reconciliation and First Eucharist are celebrated in grade 2 (or for older children who have not celebrated these Sacraments). Confirmation is celebrated in the fall of Grade 11, with preparation beginning in grade 10. Attendance at regular Wednesday Journey of Faith sessions is required for all those in Sacramental Preparation, along with additional sessions focusing specifically on the Sacrament(s) being prepared for.
